IN RE: Thanks for the tip! Guess we better use it to trade for some food then…like we have done for 5000 years. ……. A word to wise is sufficient…. So stock up on food that has a long & short shelf life, and you will have the gold for alot less than you can buy it for now !!! You can’t eat gold,silver and crude oil !! He who is prudent,frugal and wise, stocking up on food, will be the one who has the gold eventually….

Same as stock broker, always tell you to buy stocks

By the way, for these people (or con artists, depending on how you see it), it’s always a buying opportunity and never a selling opportunity

I will give a realtor some credits if the realtor would tell me when is a selling opportunity and is correct about it

Why not?
Gold and silver could drop in price while Dow is dropping also, just like back in 08
This is the real deflation which the public is still dumb and not protect themselves with gold and silver

and then the print press would start to drive up everything. Dow to go up and gold price would go up faster until it’s 1:1

Money is only a medium of exchange. If productivity increases faster than supply of gold and silver, it would be a deflation.
And what is the problem with that? This is exactly what you want. Increasing productivity should result in lowering of prices (because you are more productive so you can charge less to earn more), which encourages savings and savers are rewarded.

When there is deflation you just need to break your supply of metals into smaller parts. Done.

It would PERPETUALLY deflate simply because our labor & production will always grow at a faster rate than they could possibly dig gold up. BASIC MATH
Any token of exchange whether it be gold silver ,coffee beans or rum is a representation of our promissory obligations we have to each other ,whatever it is, it HAS to ‘equal ‘ our labor & production as our natural promissory obligations do.

@tzontlilic All You people fail to see the obfuscation of our promissory obligations whether its represented by fiat, gold or whatever,if one divides the gold on hand by the number of people.In the U.S, reported monetary reserves are $80b, divided by a 300m pop = $266 per capita to do all your business & saving ,retirement etc.A return to the gold standard CAN be artificially deflated as long as the represented property exceeds $266 per head ,Which IS a case of PERPETUAL, MONUMENTAL DEFLATION
